With simu SOLAR we carry out detailed simulations for single buildings in cooperation with our partner Aerowest. On the basis of high-resolution comprehensive aerial images provided by Aerowest, the exact roof model is developed including nearby shadowing objects like buildings and trees. Thanks to the meticulousness of the model we can provide a detailed simulation of the solar potential that takes into consideration all relevant shadowing objects.
As a result the following suitability parameters are available for every roof surface:
- orientation, inclination and size of the roof surface
- potential radiation amount per year
- average effective radiation amount per year
- maximum radiation amount
- reduction of direct radiation due to shadowing on a percentage basis
On the basis of the suitability parameters we determine for you the surfaces with ideal conditions for the installation of a solar plant. We also provide a rough yield calculation.
The calculation results can be used to optimize the positioning and dimensioning of the solar system regarding cost-benefit aspects.

The costs for the model and the calculation of the solar potential depend on the roof size and start at 150 Euro (VAT excluded) for an average detached house.
These analyses can be carried out for many single buildings – for example the real estate portfolio of a building society. The corresponding costs are calculated individually.
